A Nugget of Knowledge To Help You Make That Gold - MONEY!

Updated: Oct 23, 2022

This book is GOLD! And it’s purpose is to help you make gold.. that moolah, bread, dough, cheddar, lettuce.. Speaking of, is it lunch time yet?

Whatever your situation is—drowning in debt, see-sawing between steady and unsteady, living paycheck to paycheck, or even substantially stable but would like to gain more wealth—if you have any desire whatsoever to better your financial situation, this book is for you. So essentially, it’s for everyone.

"The progression from shaky to stable and from stable to sterling is the path of financial recovery.”

Karen McCall provides so much practical value in these pages. More than other financial advice sources because, as she does give budgeting advice and tools, she also digs into your psyche. She undertakes the mental and emotional relationship you have with your finances. The way you earn money and the way you spend money, every dollar is driven by an emotion. She will challenge you by asking hard questions intended for you to understand your motivations and drives, and then affords how to correct or manage them. The objective here is for you to improve your financial situation so you can improve your overall life.

“How you obtain money, as well as where you invest your resources — your time, energy, and money — reflects what you value most.”

Just Do It

I deliberately started out my new year with this book, being one of my 2020 resolutions was to have a better grasp on my money. It took me 2 months to finish it because I moved through it slowly, absorbing the information and practicing the exercises it recommends. I strongly advocate reading it this way. Everything about it is 100% customizable, focusing on your personal goals and how to reach them.

DO THE EXERCISES! This is where the true benefits lie, determining how much you will or will not take away from this book.

You don’t need to be in a financial pickle to find this book’s value.

Pickle!? Seriously, someone bring me lunch.

Turning 30 a few months ago sparked a number of mindset changes. Transitioning out of my 20’s where mistakes are inevitable and more forgivable, I officially feel old but motivated for the next decade. Rather than merely feeding inspiration— I love books that do that too— this one coheres to everyday REAL life, and provides hands-on strategies that are certain to generate results. I was left with inspiration and a tangible plan on how to reach my goals. This is the value this book has provided me with. I hope it does the same for you.

Let’s Blow a Little Air On The Fire

Applied to the controversial topic that our current public school system fails to teach and prepare us for real life—subjects like managing money, the importance of credit, paying bills, paying taxes, etc., currently are not courses on the curriculum. But are such crucial matters in being a functioning, healthy adult and member of society.

So until that situation changes, take it upon yourself to teach yourself! This book is a great source. Or give it to a young adult, an old adult who stills struggles, someone you care about who you want to succeed. Life skills like what McCall teaches here are so essential and imperative for our futures, everyone should have this kind of knowledge. Nourish ourselves and nourish each other.
